The new generation MG5 features a stylish and dynamic exterior design with a fastback coupe profile and sleek lines. The front fascia is bold and layered, with a sharp combination of LED headlights and daytime running lights. The side profile showcases a smooth and dynamic coupe line, while the tail features unique tail light designs with high recognition when lit.

Powertrain

Powered by the all-new MEGA Tech 1.5T high-performance engine, model number 15C4E, with a displacement of 1490mL, a turbocharged intake system, maximum power of 181Ps, maximum power output of 133kW at 5600rpm, maximum torque of 285N・m at 1500-4000rpm. The transmission system is paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox, with a top speed of up to 200km/h and a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 6.45L/100km.

Chassis and Suspension

The drive type is front-wheel drive, with a McPherson independent front suspension and a longitudinal torsion beam non-independent rear suspension. The steering type is electric power-assisted, and the vehicle structure is a unibody.
